Crafting Uber Kiosk's design system for nontraditional surfaces

I worked with Uber as a product designer from June to September 2019.

During my time there, I laid down the foundation for Uber Kiosk’s design system. Although Uber had an existing design system—Base—the surfaces our system had to work for were very untraditional, as our hardware used large, vertical touch screens.

In addition, these screens ranged from tablets to 27” wide displays, so the design system would have to adapt for a variety of sizes. This presented us with a difficult problem—how can we assemble a touch-input design system that can adapt to a wide variety of sizes?
